For staff at organizations we support

Report a suspicious email

You do not have to be sure it is fake. If something about an email feels off, reporting it takes under a minute and nobody will ever be annoyed that you did. The one thing we ask is that you do it before you click.

1. Use the banner at the top of the email

Messages from outside your organization arrive with a gray banner at the top that says Report This Email, with Safe, Spam, and Phish buttons. Click Phish. That sends the message, headers and all, to our filtering service and to us, and blocks the sender for you. It is the fastest way and it needs nothing else from you.

2. No banner? Forward it to support

Forward the email as an attachment if your mail program offers that, otherwise a plain forward is fine, to support@galistechnetwork.com. That opens a ticket automatically. You can also use the chat button in the corner of this page and tell the assistant you have a suspicious email; it will open the ticket for you.

3. If you already clicked, typed a password, or opened an attachment: call

Call 816.800.9867 and say the words "I think I clicked a phishing link." Do not wait to see whether anything happens, do not try to fix it yourself, and do not turn the computer off. Minutes matter here and a call gets a person on it immediately.

What happens after you report

  • We look at where the message really came from and whether it reached anyone else at your organization.
  • If it was a phishing attempt, the sender is blocked for everyone, not just you.
  • If you entered a password, we reset it and check the account for anything the attacker may have changed, such as email rules or forwarding.
  • You get a short reply saying what it was and whether you need to do anything. Most of the time the answer is "nothing, thank you."
